Upcoming Retreats

Joe nassal
Rev. Joe Nassal, CPPS

Fri, Mar 9 2018 - Sun, Mar 11 2018

Preached Silent Retreat
Actual Cost: $350.00
Minimum Offering: $225.00
The seven signs of the Divine that we call sacraments offer us a sense of belonging, confirm our commitments, forgive our failures, nourish our souls, give us strength for the journey, and bring us healing and hope. As graced moments, the sacraments mark the times of our lives as they awaken and affirm God’s presence within us and among us. As signs and symbols, the sacraments stimulate the senses with bread, wine, oil and water. They express our identity as a people of faith and our mission as a Church to reflect the reality of Christ’s presence in the world.

Rev. Joe Nassal is the author of eight books including The Conspiracy of Compassion, Rest Stops for the Soul, and Stations of the Crib. A Missionary of the Precious Blood, he has been engaged in retreat, renewal and reconciliation ministry since 1988. Ordained in 1982, Fr. Joe is presently the Provincial Director of the Kansas City Province and lives in Liberty, MO.

Preached Silent Retreat
Actual Cost: $350.00

The spiritual life is referred to as the interior life because the Kingdom is within us. The goal of the spiritual life is always union with God, so we prepare for Holy Week by going to the desert to learn how to drink deeply from the fountain of Divine Mercy.

Rev. Jerry Daniels is a Catholic priest and graduate of Notre Dame Seminary having been ordained to the priesthood in 2001 for the Diocese of Jackson. He is certified and trained in spiritual direction for Ignatius retreats. Since July, 2017, he is assigned to serve as chaplain of the Archdiocese of New Orleans Retreat Center.

Matthew linn
Rev. Matthew Linn, SJ

Fri, Apr 6 2018 - Sun, Apr 8 2018

Preached Silent Retreat
Actual Cost: $350.00
Minimum Offering: $225.00
We are healed to the degree we have the mind and heart of Jesus that is revealed perhaps most deeply in his parables like that of the Prodigal Son. This retreat will deal with the dynamics and healing of anger, fear, guilt and shame so they become drives for new life. Each session will end with group prayer or an exercise for healing an emotion. As emotions heal, we discover new gifts for relating to God, others and the world.

Fr. Matthew Linn, SJ has focused on integrating physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. He is a member of the Association of Christian Therapists and has advanced graduate degrees in sociology, anthropology, spirituality and theology. He has given courses and retreats in over 60 countries.

To register, please contact a Retreat Captain or you may call the Retreat/Hospitality Coordinator, Susan Halligan at (504) 267-9604 or 1-866-937-9170.
