Upcoming Retreats

Kraffttate
Rev. Joe Krafft/Jan Tate

Fri, May 25 2018 - Sun, May 27 2018

Preached Silent Retreat
Actual Cost: $350.00
Minimum Offering: $225.00
Come reflect and prayerfully explore the influences of your family of origin (your family “DNA” or your family patterns) that influence your attitudes, expectations, beliefs, and relationships. Using the backdrop of the two Great Commandments (love God and love neighbor as yourself), retreat talks will reflect on the formation of our attitudes and belief systems which influence the way we understand and relate to God, to others and even how we feel and think about ourselves. There will be ample time for personal reflection, prayer for healing of relationships, spiritual direction, and the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Rev. Joe Krafft served for five years as a Parochial Vicar at St. Clement of Rome Church in Metairie. In 2007, he became the Director of Human Formation at Notre Dame Seminary. He is currently working on a Doctorate in Ministry Degree with a concentration in Pastoral Ministry. Fr. Joe enjoys leading mission trips, giving Lenten Missions, parish presentations on evangelization and discipleship and preaching and teaching at retreats.

Jan Tate is a native New Orleanian, married to husband Lloyd since 1972 with five children and sixteen grandchildren. She has been a trained Spiritual Director for 20 years and is serving on the staff of the Archdiocesan Spirituality Center in New Orleans.

Rev. Joe Nassal, CPPS

Fri, Jun 8 2018 - Sun, Jun 10 2018

Preached Silent Retreat
Actual Cost: $350.00
Minimum Offering: $225.00
Most of us think mysticism is something beyond us, something reserved for those who are so attuned to God’s voice that even the clamor of the world often teetering on the brink of chaos can shake their “inward calm.” But as many of the great teachers of the spiritual life remind us, we can be modern day mystics through the practice of awareness. The Divine One is present in our everyday life. This retreat explores how we can honor the mystic within by becoming aware of the love that God has kindled in our hearts. When we live from this mystical center of prayer, we will be catalysts for compassion, reservoirs of reconciliation, and harbors of hope for one another and our world.

Rev. Joe Nassal is the author of eight books including The Conspiracy of Compassion, Rest Stops for the Soul, and Stations of the Crib. A Missionary of the Precious Blood, he has been engaged in retreat, renewal and reconciliation ministry since 1988. Ordained in 1982, Fr. Joe is presently the Provincial Director of the Kansas City Province and lives in Liberty, MO.

Preached Silent Retreat
Actual Cost: $350.00
Minimum Offering: $225.00
The New Testament is populated with the questions of many people, but this retreat will look at the implications of questions raised by Jesus. “What do you want me to do for you?” “Are you also going to leave me?” “You are a Teacher of Israel and you do not understand these things?” “What were you discussing along the road?” “Have you caught anything?” These questions (and so many others) are raised by Jesus and need to be answered in every generation.

Rev. Simeon Gallagher is Director of the Preaching Ministry Office of the Mid-America Province of the Capuchin Order. He conducts retreats, parish development programs, and religious education workshops.

To register, please contact a Retreat Captain or you may call the Retreat/Hospitality Coordinator, Susan Halligan at (504) 267-9604 or 1-866-937-9170.
